Our client, a well established manufacturing company of electrical parts, seeks a Purchasing Analyst who will also handle supply chain planning. This is a full time temp-to-hire position. In this role, you will:Responsibilities
- Management Resource Planning (MRP) by finding methods to maintain budget constraints
- Track and manage orders and purchase orders for many months in advance
- Run a Requisition worksheet to manage inventory by creating purchase orders
- New order processing
- Communicate via phone & email with the vendors
- Negotiate contract rates for raw materials
- Control delivery of various items required
- Negotiate national deals for services we purchase
- Create and manage purchase orders and documents related to 3rd party service vendors
- Implement Vendor Management System
- Expand Vendor Base – diversify our supplier network to ensure continuity of supply
- Coordinate with Supply Chain team to ensure adequate supply while minimizing inventory investment
- Prepare periodic reports of Purchasing Activity – identify success and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- 5 years of purchasing or supply chain planning experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
