Our client, a well established manufacturer of adapters, hardware, and accessories, seeks a Purchasing Analyst. This is a full time temp-to-hire position. In this role, you will:Responsibilities
- Plan, Track and manage finished goods orders and purchase orders for raw materials many months in advance
- Negotiate contract rates for raw materials
- Negotiate national deals for services purchased
- Run a Requisition worksheet to manage inventory by creating purchase orders
- Communicate via phone & email with the vendors
- Control delivery of various items required
- Create and manage purchase orders and documents related to 3rd party service vendors
- Expand Vendor Base – diversify supplier network to ensure continuity of supply
- Coordinate with Inventory/Supply Chain team to ensure adequate supply while minimizing inventory investment
- Prepare periodic reports of Purchasing Activity – identify success and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- 5 years of purchasing or supply chain planning experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
