Our client, an international manufacturer of office electronics equipment, seeks a Technical Support professional with experience as a Copier/MFP Field Technician. This is a full time, indefinite, temp-to-hire position.This candidate will also be corresponding with internal and external customers via email and telephone. Opportunities to expand skillset into technical writing, courseware development, and presentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take incoming technical calls from customers or field technicians regarding equipment hardware issues, error codes, or malfunctions.
- Provide accurate, satisfactory answers to their queries and concerns.
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers, offering patient assistance and support.
- Guide callers through troubleshooting, navigating the company site or using the products or services.
- Review customer or client accounts, providing updates and information about shipping and, warranties.
- Collaborate with other call center professionals to improve customer service.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience as a Copier Field Technician with another manufacturer or independent dealer.
- Technical knowledge of copiers, professional displays or software and solutions is preferred.
- Ability to gather and assimilate resources from a variety of sources (i.e., Internet, marketing materials, technical guides) to create curriculum content.
- Knowledge of MS Office 365.
- Ability to multi-task effectively. The workday and assignments will change frequently depending on internal and external customer needs.
- The candidate must show attention to detail, a command of order, and a drive for client satisfaction. This person will be encouraged to be original, innovative, and a leader toward projects and clients.
