Our client, a laborer's union, is seeking an Accounting Associate to join their team. This is a full time, temp-to-hire position with excellent benefits.Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and discrepancies
• Enter vendor invoices into the accounting software accurately and assist with timely processing of payments
• Maintain vendor files, reports, and simple Excel spreadsheets for month-end balancing
• Review daily deposit reports for accuracy and process electronic deposits into the accounting system
• Enter Plan Participants’ direct deposit information into benefit software
• Assist Plan Participants by phone and email with general questions and requests
• Provide administrative support to the accounting staff as needed
Job Requirements:
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Computer proficient and comfortable learning new programs
• Basic math skills and familiarity with Excel
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with QuickBooks or Sage 50
• Data entry or administrative experience
• Customer service background
Additional Information:
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM (35 hours/week), In Office
• Must pass a drug test and background check
