Employee Background: The Medical Office Support Division of UNIFORCE Staffing Solutions is pleased to announce Raymund  Rodriguez as our latest Employee Recognition Program Honorable Mention.  Raymund came to UNIFORCE in November 2020 and has worked with glowing reviews since that time.  He has relevant experience in the areas of Information Technology and Lab Accessioning.

Success Story: Raymund is currently working on an assignment as a COVID Lab Accessioner for a Pathology Lab in northern New Jersey.  In his role, he is responsible for receiving and accessioning COVID specimens from medical facilities such as hospitals, doctor’s offices, and nursing homes.  Raymund also provides data entry support by inputting patients’ demographics into the lab’s system.  Our client clearly values Raymund as an essential member as he consistently provides the needed support in expediting COVID lab testing and results during this pandemic.  The UNIFORCE team appreciates a positive and long standing professional relationship with Raymund, and we wish him many more years of success in his career!!

Success Story: Rachel is currently working on an assignment as a Logistics Coordinator at a prestigious New Jersey Headquartered Hospital. In her role, she is responsible for performing inventory control and analysis of healthcare specialty products.  Rachel is responsible for keeping the logistics database up-to-date and provides administrative support to the management team.  She also reconciles accounts payable and accounts receivable for supplies.  The UNIFORCE team appreciates a positive and long standing professional relationship with Rachel, and we wish her many more years of success in her career!!

Success Story: Hillary is currently working on an assignment as an Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper at a large New Jersey Headquartered Electricians Workers Union. In her role, she is responsible for performing administrative support to its union members.  Hillary provides data entry in to the membership database as well as processes incoming tuition payments.  She also handles Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and some Bookkeeping duties within QuickBooks.  Our client clearly values Hillary as an essential member since she consistently represents the union and its valued membership initiatives and customer support.  The UNIFORCE team appreciates a positive and long standing professional relationship with Hillary, and we wish her many more years of success in her career!!

March 8th is International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

International Women’s Day has assumed a new roadmap for women in developed and developing countries alike. The growing international women’s movement has helped make the commemoration a rallying point to build support for women’s rights and participation in the political and economic arenas.

International Women’s Day is also a global day celebrating the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also is a day of action in support of taking action against gender inequality around the world. This is the day to appreciate their efforts! Organizations large and small come together to show women just how valuable they are in today’s society and global workforce.

Success Story: Minelva is currently working on an assignment as a Front Office Medical Assistant at a large Cardiology Medical Practice that is a part of a major healthcare system.  In her role, she is responsible for performing patient check-ins and check-outs.  Minelva provides patient eligibility and benefits as well as insurance verifications.  She also handles medical document scanning, electronic medical records, phone support, and pharmacy refill approvals.  Our client clearly values Minelva as an essential member since she consistently interfaces between the Cardiology practice and the main hospital healthcare system.  The UNIFORCE team appreciates a positive and long standing professional relationship with Minelva , and we wish her many more years of success in his career!!

Success Story: Laura is currently working on an assignment as a Payroll Specialist at a large apparel designer, manufacturer, and retail marketing corporation.  In her role, she is responsible for solely managing the employee payroll for over 800 employees.  Laura provides a critical role in the time sensitive and detail oriented processing of employee payroll.  She processes exempt and non-exempt employee payroll as well as handles employee benefits deductions, garnishments, and payroll tax related matters.  Additionally, Laura has the responsibility of customer service and addressing employee questions, concerns, and payroll issues.  Our client clearly values Laura as an essential member and has extended her assignment for another year as she now continues on assignment on a long-term contract basis.  The UNIFORCE team appreciates a positive and loyal working relationship with Laura, and we wish her many more years of success in his career!!

As promised by New Jersey Governor, Phil Murphy, the New Jersey Minimum Wage will increase to $12/hr in 2021.

This will prove to be a positive sign to employees whose hours may have been cut amid the current job market due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2024, New Jersey’s minimum wage will rise to $15 from the $8.85 per hour in February 2019. The New Jersey bill signing in 2019 culminated more than a year of negotiations for the state’s Democrat-controlled Legislature.

The minimum wage increase also puts New Jersey on a growing list of blue states — California, Massachusetts and New York, as well as the District of Columbia — that have authorized such a jump in the minimum wage. At this time, twenty-nine U.S. states have minimum wage pay above the $7.25 federal rate, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, a Washington-based lobbying group. The federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour hasn’t changed since 2009.
